FAQS

  • Do you work with all animals?

Most of my patients are dogs, cats, and horses. I work with animals who are companions, as well as with high-performing animal athletes.

  • Do you offer conventional medicine?

No. I specialize in holistic modalities that integrate well with the conventional medicine offered by your primary care veterinarian. You still need a primary care facility for laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, and urgent care.

  • Do you offer Telehealth calls?

Yes. Virtual consultations are available on request. Payment is required in advance of the appointment.

  • Do you offer emergency services?

No. Same-day appointments are not available. For urgent care, please contact your primary care veterinarian or the nearest animal ER center. Go here for links to veterinarians in Dr. Heather’s geographical area.

  • How often will we need in person visits?

This depends on your goals, how strong the animal is at the start of therapy, and how well they accept and respond to treatment. For debilitated, anxious, or very senior patients, we may need 2-3 visits within the first month.

  • Where is your office located?

    5162 NY-213, Olivebridge, NY 12461

Most GPS navigating apps get you there, though, please keep in mind that cellular signals are unreliable.

Mail Delivery must be directed to:

    P.O. Box 1334, Olivebridge, NY 12461

  • How do we send medical records to your office?

You must contact your primary care veterinarian and any specialists involved in your pet or horse’s care. Ask them to send the medical records to:

    woof@olearyvet.com

Doing this well ahead of the scheduled visit allows us to maximize our time in the office.

  • I'm ready! How do we make an appointment?

To kickstart your pet's wellness journey, go to the NEW PATIENTS page. This will guide you through a questionnaire that ensures that I have all the essential information needed to provide the best possible care during your upcoming in-person office appointment. Your pet's well-being is my top priority, and I look forward to meeting you both soon!

  • I have more questions. What do I do?

After exploring the website, you may have lingering questions about how I can help your pet or horse. In that case, I personally invite you to a 10-15 minute Pre-Appointment Phone Consultation to discuss your concerns. Opting for this consult may delay the scheduling of an in-person visit, so keep that in mind as you decide how you'd like to proceed.
